That is the worst. I had an terrible itch/muscle pinch in my back during a marathon mri. I tried moving during what I thought was a break between scans but ended up messing up a section and had to lay there longer while they redid it.

I don't mind them now. Although, my first MRI was a nightmare. I was dragged out of my hospital bed at 6 in the morning and strapped down. I was tired, i was emotional, i had no idea what was going on (That Mri later told them what WAS going on.. MS) It was of my brain and spine so i couldn't swallow. I ended up passing out but when i woke up i freaked out and started hyperventilating, crying, and every part of me felt painful. They had to redo it so many times that i was in there for two hours.

But they don't bother me now except for that my last one ruined my debit card.

Strapped down?? I wasn't but had a godawfull itch during it too. Don't even ask where.

Everytime I have an mri, no matter how long or short it is, I have an itch! No, more like several itches! Just recounting this now, I am itchy! Talk about torture! And it all starts when they say "don't move"!

Yes Dayna, it is the torture of the damned. They put this heavy plastic collar over your face and you're supposed to be still in the tunnel and you get this insane itch on the end of your nose. I moved my hand to itch it but I asked the tech first if I could. He did let me. I absolutely HATE MRI's, and I've probably had about ten of them since I was diagnosed seven years ago. I guess it's something we have to put up with. I just like to get a good conversation with my doc about the results afterwards, because you go through so much having the damn thing!!
