Alot of the time itsthe meds you take that causes UTI's. I can't say for sure that its MS.

I'm not sure if it's just the MS or the medications we take for it or a combination; but I've heard about watching out for the UTIs TONS of times from the neuro.
These infections can/ do cause symptoms of MS to flare up drasticly and this year was also the first time I ever had to suffer with one too.

Unfortunately yes it is..ms doesn't give us a uti..wat it does is mess with our bladder regulation..inability to control bladder or inability to empty blader completly..when ur bladder is unable to empty old urine stays in the bladder n is bacteria heaven..womens urethra (tubes from the bladder that lead to the outside the body) is only bout 3 inches so uti is highly likely..I have issues emptying my bladder 100% so I get uti's every few months..I get the urge to go so bad but I cant pee! Lol medication can be used to help regulate the bladder but like most of us I'm without insurance sooooo good old cranberry juice..cranberries and cystex cranberry works awesome to help wit uti's..best of luck!

I have noticed that sometimes I don't feel like I need to pee and all of a sudden I am about to pee my pants! I drank my glass of cranberry juice today and I guess I will make it part of my daily routine to try to help prevent these dang things!

Yea bladder issues are very common..an unfortunate occurance..kinda hard to hide when u go on urself..happened to me a couple of times..how many youngins pee on themselves! Ugh this one right here lol luckily its not often..although my bladder now gives me no damn warning..one minute I'm chillen next minute I'm dying looking for a bathroom..n if I don't find one boom there it is!..so everytime I tell my bf I need to pee he scrambles for a bathroom lol

If you go on antibiotics make sure you take acidophilus. It makes sure the meds don't kill all your good bacteria! If you can't find it at your local pharmacy, try a health food store. I use it every time I am on antibiotics.

Hi, yes I solved that problem with the Cranberry juicy as well. I put a little in Almost all the water I drink. My neighbour , who's on a wheelchair had a big problem with that, and since he started drinking the juice he's problem free. Hope it solves yours too. Alma
