from what I can gather the Wahls diet if essentially 9 cups of veggies, organic grain fed meat and fish, nuts, seeds, and seaweed. NO dairy, gluten, legumes, potatoes - how about grains like quinoa, millet, rice? is the Wahls diet essentially Paleo?
I am considering doing the diet, but am apprehensive about eating a lot of meat and no grains. I only weigh about 110lbs and find it difficult to gain any weight - I think I might fly away without any grains to keep me on the ground.
any thoughts, recommendations or suggestiongs would be greatly appreciated :-)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Wahl uses grain. rice, quinona, Teff...She relies pretty heavy on veggie and vegan style stuff.
Paleo is GRAIN FREE. They use coconut flours, almond flour, arrow root starch and tapioca flour if you want to bake. its meat, veggies, and NO GRAIN. no rice, no corn, no peanuts (which are a legume) no legumes or beans, and most dont use potato.
I am on the paleo diet for the last 8 weeks and the difference has been amazing! my gut is working. I am pooping normally, I am no longer bloated. I have more energy. less headaches, and while I am in the early phases of this lifestyle it has already provided many good things for me. I have lost 15 pounds! I NEVER lose weight no matter what I try. My inflammation markets are falling.
I have not cut out potatoes and find with cook books and some inventiveness I am doing great! Many great cook books out there. I have no word on relapses, but so far so good! My walking is more stable, I am less off balance, and feel better.
Either way, its a great way of living and healing our battle scarred guts.
