Just a side note, My father has been on ritilin for 20 years now and every doctor questions it. Just be prepared to explain why you are taking it.
Talk to your neuro. Sometimes you have to try different ones. What works for one MS patient may not work for another. I think that I have a good combo now, plus LDN and high dose of vitiman D, which I am very deficent in.
Hope you find something to help you....trial and error!!!
I loved Ritalin. It kept me awake, didn't make me and didn't make me jittery. My only side effect was appetite suppressant, which I welcomed lol.
I am not currently experiencing fatigue, but when it comes back I will definitely ask for Ritalin again.
As for ADD/ADHD meds, I have tried some different options. Most of them DO work for me, but I just can't handle the side effects which range from insomnia, stomach troubles/not eating at all, major teeth grinding (bad enough that I needed a mouth guard during the day), and the "Crash effect" when it ran out.
Right now I have 10 mg short acting amphetamine salts which I take half doses of every few hours on rough days and that so far has been my best option.
PS: Don't combine it with coffee or wine. I made both mistakes and thought my heart was going to explode.
