Ouch! Has it lasted for 48 hours? It couldn't be on of those weird psuedo symptoms that MS hands out sometime? I think I remeber you wrote steroids don't work for you? Before steroids they used..... ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone), administered by injection, is also a recognized treatment for exacerbations of MS.

Which is an adrenal chemical & I read some still use it when they cant tolerate steroids.

But it is my hope it is a pseudo relapse planning with your mind during the stress of the holiday season!

I really hope its a pseudo relapse. When I went to the neurologist on Monday he said that my reflexes were off on my left side.

Hopefully it is all just from stress and once I relax I'll be ok.

Take a deep breath...You have gone back to work and registered for classes. You have taken all the steps to get you life back on track, and that probably has been as stressful as exciting, at least to your body. You probably have some real nervousness that just when things start to work out, they won't. This goes with having MS, as it is the unpredictible part of it that can often be the worse. The part that can be most annoying about this, is that we stress about getting sick, and that causes it, and it is just so hard not to stress. So, take a deep breath. Even if your reflexs are off, it does not mean that it won't be temporary, and that it isn't just a short lived reaction to stress or worry, which means that you have to try your best to relax.

Everybody is right, this does come along w the MS, and u never kno when things will happen. I may not b a relaspe, u may just b having a bad day. Stress does add alot 2 the MS as well. Try 2 calm down n relax...it will pass.

I hope it goes away soon for you. It is so hard not to stress out about stuff. I am back in college but haven't went back to work yet since Sept. I feel like if I stress even alittle bit that I wake up the next morning feeling so bad but it normally wears off towards the afternoon unless I'm really stressed about something. Do you take any anxiety meds?? If so maybe you can take one of those and lay in bed watch some christmas movies!! The Christmas Shoes is the best Christmas movie. Please keep us updated on how you are. Hope you feel better.

I'm worse today...My left side is number than it was yesterday and I also can't hear out of my left ear.

I had both of these symptoms in August, but they all went away by October.

Have you called your doctor yet? I'm bad about waiting too long and then things just seem to go from bad to worse. This time I got into see my doctor sooner so hopefully this relapse won't last as long. Today will be my 5th day of IVSM. No fun, but worth it if it helps. Hopefully switching to Tysabri by January. Yes, that is important...always kep your doctor updated. I am what they call a "minimizer," I tend to not think things are a big deal as long as I can figure out a way to cope and keep going (my doctor is always saying, "why is this the first I am hearing of this?). But the truth is that you should, at the very least, be keeping a very accurate record of any changes, and letting your doctor know.
