Stress will not make her sick or keep her healthy. Stress will however increase your decline faster so just focus on enjoying spending time with her while she is young. My hubby and I play Uno card game, Candy land, Chutes and Ladders, Battleship and PC games with kids (Wii doubles tennis) all inside with AC. They love the time you spend with them, it doesn't matter if it is inside or out.
Best wishes,
EP
Here are my thoughts (much based on my own reading and research):
I would consider asking her pediatrician to monitor her Vitamin D levels, especially if you live in the Northern part of the world. I would consider supplementing her diet with Castor oil or fish oil and cook with Coconut oil. Research anti-inflammatory foods/diet.
Research has shown that psychic trauma, especially before the age of 2, alters brain and nervous system development that can lead to triggering an inflammatory response in the body. I agree with much of what EPagain says. I differ on stress however. I had so much stress as a child that I had stress related illness as a child long before I had MS. The single most important factor in any person child or adult's healh is avoiding stress.
You can only do what you can to protect your child but any exposure to significant stress I believe will be harmful to health.
No amalgam fillings and no tuna fish. (mercury)
Sounds like you are doing your best. I think fruits and vegetables in large amounts are natures best medicine. I juice regularly,
Things have come a long way in a short time with the understanding and treatment of MS. Even if the worst happens the advances made in the past 10 yrs make the possibility of a good outcome so much more hopeful.
Keep relaxed and focused on the present moment and enjoy every one with her. There is only so much we can do but preventative measures are a very wise idea.
My best to you and your family,
Melanie
It is hard not to worry. I can somewhat deal with this shitty disease, but my son having it would totally break my heart. I do worry if I have made a mistake letting him have all the vaccinations. It is hard to know. We can only do so much.
All the best to you and your daughter.
I need to clarify what I meant better.
In Reply#1 when I said "Stress will not make her sick or keep her healthy. Stress will however increase your decline faster so just focus on enjoying spending time with her while she is young. "
What I meant was ..You (Arany) stressing about her(daughter) will not make her sick or keep her healthy. Stress will make you (Arany) decline faster.
I do agree stress in your daughter's life (big tramatic event ie being beaten, molested, etc) YES will impact HER health in the long term. However it sounds like you take very good care of her.
I don't think it has such a direct correlation with all this--you're worrying a LOT :( Which is not good for you.
Good diet and a loving mom are perfect--worrying about whether or not she'll get sick in the future might be more a matter of nature than nurture--and by that I mean it might be in her genes or it might not.
I have a lot of stress I may be handing down to my girl. I had a hair analysis done to evaluate what's going on internally. My body is out of whack most of which leads to stress and anxiety. I'm working on fixing myself.
We eat mostly organic fruits and veggies. Our meat has to be no hormones/no antibiotics/humanely raised or no meat at all. Then it's fish night. I have gone extreme when it comes to picking and buying our food ever since I relapsed a little over a year ago then had 4 since. I used to obsess over different silly things until MS and my daughter.
Before I posted I read an article about families with MS. It spoke of how onset may be about the same time, but the degree of severity varies. People who have MS in families tend to have a faster decline than most typically when it's parent/child or sibling/sibling. All this may or may not be true, but I immediately thought of my girl. I had to talk to someone, and my husband is away for awhile.
Thanks for all of the information, guidance, and words of encouragement.
