I am just curious as I present with absent reflexes or hyporeflexia (low). When I read about MS most is not all is about brisk or hyperreflexia. I know that neurologist has a grading system for deep tendon reflexes.
Grade Description
0 Absent
1+ or + Diminished
2+ or ++ "Normal"
3+ or +++ Hyperactive without clonus
4+ or ++++ Hyperactive with clonus
Mine never changed. They are still either absent or diminished. I only ran into 2 others with hyporeflexia on other forums. It is easy enough to go online and to see actually video testing of abnormal deep tendon reflexes and their grades.
If any can add more to this discussion about what this means with MS. Generally hyporeflexia is associated with a lower motor neuron deficit but that is not always the case with MS.

Went they changed did you noticed changes in you fatigue levels or ability to walk or movement. I just wondering if this ties in with spinal lesions.
What is sym preserved mean?

I had my first symptoms at the age of 14 but was not dx until 40 after being spms for 8 yrs
any way at the age of 20 my reflexes were hard to find I saw one doc and he said he knew I had them b/c I could move my legs.
Now being partially paralyzed I do not have them at all.
