I know that is really hard to answer, but my face has been numb over wk now and I'm going crazy. I have been on iv and now oral steroids to no avail. I do start my betaseron this wk but i thought that would prevent not stop an excacerbation. I just got diagnosed 3-4wk ago and this is my 2nd attack the 1st time they thought it was a stroke but my spinal came back positive for ms. that was toatally healed i thought i would be fine but this started 1.5wk ago on my r side of the face totally numb my soeech is slurred and i'm scared it will be permanent! tell me it will go away please...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
As for the Betaseron or other DMD's they are to slow progression, not to totally stop relapses.
Give it a little more time.

I know how you feel, only it was the left side of my face. I was on solumedrol IV for 5 days on and off and it took me 1 and a half weeks for the numbness to subside. Before the IV I had been completly numb in the left side of my face for almost 2 months. I think the IV works, it just doesn't happen over night. My tongue is still a little numb, but I can feel my gums again and I can swollow and talk a lot easier. Hang in there, it will get better.
