My legs will start to fall out from underneath me if my shower is too hot or too cold... I'd imagine that a mild temperature would be safe in a bath but you have to go by how you feel. These are those kind of things I like to remember to talk about when I have my neuro appointments. i'm pretty sure he'd say to use moderation and dgo by how I feel, lol. (and ask if I have grab bars in place)
My neuro said "no hot tubs" (meaning the sauna types). So yes, my guess is that there is a connection if you are soaking very long in a really hot bath.
Personally, I have discovered that when I am ready to get out of the tub after a long bath, I have to be really careful because it makes me very weak -- afraid of falling -- so bear that in mind.
Enjoy it while you can!
That is my experience in this!

The only quasi-exception is in the dead of Winter when taking a shower is the only time I am ever truly warm. And even then, the water is merely warm to quite warm, never hot. My legs turning to rubber is the first sign that the temperature is too high.
The opposite is if the water is too cold. Then I begin to shiver which rapidly turns into spasming. That's a major reason I avoid swimming.
I just think everyone is so different, kind of test it out for you. If you can take a hot bath, you might be fine with it. Here's a thought take a hot bath, then when you get out drink a glass of ice water, would cool your core body temp. Good luck.
