Since being diagnosed with MS in April 2013, I have had to be admitted into hospital at least 3 times since. It would have been more but there were just some times that I refused to go; they would just put me on another steroid infusion until it passes and send me home... something that would have happened at home anyway, IMO. Inasmuch as I've grown to adore the people at St. Barnabas MC in Livingston, there is no place like home.
My question is such: How often have you had to stay in hospital because of flare-ups, and how often have you just said 'eff it', sat back and munched on stuff as something to do to keep yourself awake? LOL

I decided if I can't move can't see or hurt so bad I can't function then I should go. If I have new symptoms that last more than 24 hours I call my neuro.
otherwise I just put my big girl panties on and deal until it goes away. Like you, I used to be very active. I lifted weights, ran and worked out four days a week.
