I was diagnosed with MS yesterday, but I have had symptoms for years and have multiple lesions on my brain, which my specialist said could possibly mean I have had it for years (I was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica in 1995 and Lyme disease in 2004, which the specialist says were both misdiagnosed). My symptoms started before my son was born. Could I have passed this on to him? He complains that the bottoms of his feet hurt, his legs hurt, he has headaches and stomachaches several times a week. I put a call in to his pediatrician and am waiting to hear back from them, but I also wanted your take on all of this. Thank you so much! This place is so amazing! ~Jlynn

As young as your son is I wouldn't think that is whats going on .Although, I was diagnosed 7 yrs ago. and what i have learned with MS is you just never know.

hi there as i understand it m.s in not hereditary but that brothers or sisters of someone with m.s has a 40% chance of getting m.s and also girls are more likely than boys to get m.s and also they think that it is in your genitic make up its unlikelt your son has m.s but you do right in seeking advice how old is he??? could it be growing pains i went rushing of to the docter with my son when he was 13 sying he has m.s and it was growing pains!!! not m.s i was so relived m.s is very very rare in children hope you get on ok with the pediatrician tho love lizxxxxx

WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS FIRST DIX. I GOT A BOOK ON MS AND IT SAID THAT THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THE MOTHER TO PASS IT ON. WHEN TALKING TO HIS MOM SHE SSAID AS FAR AS SHE KNEW THERE WASN'T ANYONE IN THE FAMILY THAT HAD IT.
