Hey guys! I have a questions as things have gone from worse.... to well "worse" I filed for disability on Oct 10th 08 and was denied in Jan..at that time I was automatically denied SSI cause of my husbands income and I was able to get on his insurance.
So I went with the company ALLSUP to help me out and we did my appeal in Feb...so I am still in the "waiting" process. So struggling terribly financially already with no income on my end, more and more medical bills to add to the pile, and BARELY making our mortgage....SO then....last week my husband was laid off from his job with no call back!!!!!
I called and told Allsup our status now, and asked what I will be able to do or if I would qualify to reapply for SSI or Medicare or anything and they just keep telling me I have to wait for my appeal decision....ok thats nice..so in the mean time I have no insurance.(who can afford cobra coverage) So I hope I don't have a freaking relapse during all this stress, and I might as well start packing and say bye, bye to my humble abode.
Have no idea when my hubby's unemployment is gonna start, or how much for they are jacking him around on that, and he took out his 401k money to hopefully get caught up on the house with that, then we found out you have to be at his company 3 yrs to get the vested balance, so yeah, $272 bucks will at least pay mabey one bill and get us some groceries this week...thanks!!!
What can I do?? I would think I would be able to qualify for something now to help us, but Allsup blows me off and just says sorry...you have to wait for your appeal decision. Anyone else been in this situation or have any advice for me????

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

You don't have Long Term Disability Insurance do you?
