Generic Baclofen

Has anyone goen the Generic Baclofen? I just got my script and it was half and half, so I tried the Generic and I think it is horrible. The name brand has controlled my spasams pretty good and now with the Generics, my calves started getting extremely tight and went from tight to having horrible Charley Horses in my calves. I have been hardly able to sleep the last couple of nighs and doubled up on my ambien to just flat out try and knock myself out as well as double my Xanax and still wake in pain with huge knotted muscles. This morning I was showing my wife my muscles on my calves as they knotted into the size of my thumb and sarted dancing around before it brought me to my knees. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on prevention or how to stop. Just had blood work done and the potassium they blame it on is mid range. Thanks for any input

Well maybe your body is use to the name brand...some generics are not as good .I had the same thing happen to me with my thyroid medication they try to swicth my Synthroid to the Generic and I did not do well on it.After about 3 weeks on the generic I call my Dr and he did blood work and it WAS out of wack and he put on my new script NAME BRAND ONLY...so I am sure our body do and can get use to the real thing.

I have hear they are suppose to be the same put I dont beleive so on some of them !!

I would call the Dr tell him tou want a new script for a brand name only and why.

Dave, you need to contact your doctor and advise him of this. He should give you a new script and not check the box where it says, "Generic allowed".

Sorry you are going through so much pain. Please call your doctor at your earliest convenience.

When I was pregnant with my first chhild (I realize you're a man - lol - ) my doc told me to take a shot of Maalox with every glass of milk. Cured me!

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
