Hi everyone, So I have four lesions on my Frontal Lobe area, it says.....a moderate number of 5mm focal high T2/FLAIR signal are seen in the frontal lobe involving the subcortical, deep and periventricular white matter bilaterally. Focal 1.7 cm mucoperiosteal thickening is seen in the posterior left maxillary antrum. The neurologist says she doesn't think it is MS because lesions don't normally appear in this area with MS. This has been about 8 months now. I have been having some symptoms and wanted to do another MRI to see if there are any changes and she said she wouldn't refer me until one year has gone by. My toes have been curling under by themselves and it hurts. What do you guys think?

Hi Bon....

I've not been on here much lately and have thought of you often... wondering how you were doing.

Some of my lesions involved the periventricular area also, and I've read from others on here that DO have a diagnosis that they had some in that area too.

I don't understand doctors these days. We hear all they time how important sarting treatment is, yet they would rather leave obvious lesions totally unexplained than to give the diagnosis.

Some day we will have answers girl!

Oh! BTW: My toes on my right foot (my side with most problems) are curled under all the time now unless I force them straight and they will stay that way for a bit then curl again. My left toes are nice and straight. Mine don't hurt though, just feel a little odd.

Hi Lisa, It is good to hear from you. I have been having a lot of issues lately and sometimes I'm just too damn tired to get on the computer. Update on me...now I have severe Plantar Fasciitis, and just recently they found a 2cm tumor on my thyroid so now I get to deal with that, just too many things at once going on and sometimes I get overwhelmed. I hope all is good with you. (((hugs)))

I had lesions in my frontal and temporal lobes when I was diagnosed with MS. But I had many MS symptoms, my neurologist did however observe me before making a final diagnosis. After two relapses about two months apart and then optic neuritis in my right eye she diagnosed me with MS even though my lesions were not typical for MS. I have had multiple relapses in the years since. Including trigeminal neuralgia, ataxia with nystagmus and vertigo which lasted for 8 months while I was on Tysabri, internuclear opthalmoplegia which my othamologist said is common in individuals with MS, foot drop, spasticity, muscle weakness, tremors, numbness, pins and needles, burning sensations, use a cane to walk, short term memory problems diagnosed with a functional mri after I complained that I could no longer do simple math after majoring in finance in my undergrad and having a masters in business. Anyway, I don't have a lot of lesions, but as my neurologist says I definitely have MS. She tested me for everything else she could think of before giving me a diagnosis and I was diagnosed with about 10 or 12 other diseases before finally being diagnosed with MS. It took over 12 years for me to get a diagnosis. I actually began having symptoms in my 20's, but only had problems about once a year or so and didn't really let it bother me until in my late 30's early 40's when things started getting serious.
