I just typed a long post & keep losing it so ging to break it down to my question is I have got 1 leg n plaster & non weight bearing so how do I get in/out of a car?
My friend who's on a wc had a twelve wk recovery from surgery, he wasnt allowed to ride on a car. He had to go everyday for treatment and an ambulance transported him,, he hate it but this time after seven attempts he is finally healing. On previous attempts dr said not weight bearing, he cheated and ruin those surgeries. This last time he was complaining it had not worked before, I told him,,, dr is not stupid nor are you cheating on him, you are cheating YOURSELF. He realized I was right and complied this time.
So,,, no car for you,, call a transport service, usually is covered by insurance. Not all companies take all insurance, so you need to ask dr office or call around.
