For the past few weeks I've felt like I can't get a good breath. Like my nasal passages are swollen, or my lungs can't expand enough, or I'm breathing through a straw. I thought it was a cold at first. I do have some allergies, but this is not as intense and definitely longer lasting. I feel like I want to shove eucalyptus up my nose and open everything up. Could this be MS related or something else?

Sounds like MS HUG, I experienced what I thought was asthama, I was told reflux and what I now think was the HUG. I would say call your neuro, might need some roids. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better asap.

Not sure I 'get' how these respitory issues would have anything to do with MS? Have you called/seen your Primary care doc?

Not sure either....GO to the Doc!

Could be that you are hyperventalating. Sometimes we feel that we cant "catch" our breath, that little "extra" that we sometimes go for. Once you realize that you can't do that, then you try again, then again, then you are so contious about your breathing and it's on your mind constantly. What ends up happening is that you get too much oxygen in your blood and the CO2 is out of balance. Breathing into a paper bag helps put more CO2 back into your system. It is sometimes refered to as "Over breathing". Hopes this helps.
