i take generic version of Provigil. i used to take Amantadine but it lowers my blood pressure and my bp is good and i can't lower it. but provigil works but my fatigue is still bad. I never heard of the first one you are on. I want to try adderall.

I have taken Provigil in the past and that seemed to help. Wish you luck on this...

I'd get my vitamins (B, D) checked. I have been taking a combination of different ones (multi, B, D & CoQ10) and have been feeling less fatigued.

I take Amantadine. Some days it works very good but some days it does not. But if you miss a dose, you will definitely tell the difference.

I take Amantadine too..... twice a day. Once in the morning and another about 1pm. I don't usually take it though unless I know I need lots of energy and can't be fatigued.

My doctor originally wanted to put me on Provigil but even though my insurance would cover part of it - I would still have to pay out about $350 a month. So we went with Amantadine and it works well for me. I will still have an occasional fatigue day, but usually that comes after having been particularly active the day before.

I've tried Amantadine but it didn't help. I've found that laying down for an hour at noon helps me get through the rest of the day. If I don't rest I'm flat on my face by 3 in the afternoon. I also take 5,000u of vitamin D3 and weekly B12 shots.

good idea b12 shots- you going to try that uamom? I see if dr will 4 me. I hate this stuff, but we gotta fight it!!! have a good one!!!

I have mentioned it before, maybe too much for some but I have really had good success with LDN for Fatigue and increased stamina/energy. In my opinion it is worth the trouble to convince your Dr. to perscribe it so you can try it. It really helped me.

I have taken all of the regular ones - amantadine & Provigil but they only worked for about 8 months then my body got too accustom to them. For the last several years I have been taking Ritalin (off label). It helps me a lot. On days when the weather makes me overly fatigued, like today with the high humidity, I'll take a quick nap.

My neuro says there's really nothing out there for fatigue. I have a Nuvigil generic that I am taking called Modafinil. It's something that is prescribed to narcoleptics and aids more in "wakefulness" rather than fatigue.

I'm really fatigued still but the Modafinil helps perk me up mentally and since my job is a desk job, it fits the bill. (Although I really wish there was really something out there for fatigue).

I'm on Amantadine.

My insurance won't cover Provigil.It would have cost me over $700 per month !

I just ordered Provigil thru a pharmacy in Canada -$ 99 for
3 months. Doc's office gave me prescription and website, etc.
Haven't received it yet - anxious to try

Be careful w/ prescrip online. I hear there a lot of scams.
I got scammed by a pet flea med bought overseas.
