I have been suffering from fatigue for a couple of weeks now, I started taking the ritlin approximately 2 1/2 weeks ago. At first I was only taking one pill, I have sense stated taking the two per day as prescribed. I still , don't really feel any better, the first couple of days I could tell a diffrence- now not so much. So sh ould I just stop taking I am at a loss as to what to do. Have to work no other choice but it really sucks to feel bad and work all at the same time.

Forgot to add I have lost my appetite as well, though I realized that was a possibility when I begun taking.

I have found Amantadine to be helpful with fatigue - others have seen no benefit. You could discuss this option with your Neuro. Yes, fatigue can be a real problem.

I am calling the doctor today, I have realized upon my research that blood sugar issues is a side effect which makes sense for me been having major BS problems, I think that is why I have been feeling as if I had one foot in the grave. I tried the amadtine but it made me sick and the other is not convered by my insurance.

I take Ritalin as well. I found it made me nauseous. My doctor told me to eat before taking a pill. I started doing that, and I have no stomach upset anymore while taking it and my appetite is normal now while on it.

Bless your heart, I know its difficult to be so tired and get things done. Have you tried b12 Shots? or the daily ones under the tongue. They really help me. Hang in there.Also I would definetly check with doctor before changing anything. You have to got by your body as a guide though.

I am sorry you are feeling so tired. It is true, it stinks to feel so crappy. I have had to re-evalute what bad days feel like, due to the fact I rarely ever feel great anymore. I have been hit with the fatigue too. I just found out that I have another autoimmune disease (Hypo thyroid) and that was why I was more tired than the normal fatigue. I think getting your blood work done and looking and your blood sugar is a good thing. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I tried Ritalin, adder all, pro vigil.

Now I take 30 to40 mg. Of adderall and nuvigil every day. You have to find the right combination with the help of your doctor. You may have to ask for the drugs. You tell him you researched it on the web and in the MS groups.

Good luck; don't give up. Just keep after the doctor.

I had blood work done last month, my folic acid was low so I was prescribed somthing for that otherwise everything else came back at appropriatly levels. The problem I am seeing is that the meds seem to have some effect on the blood sugar, I have been above 400 since Sunday just got it down to normal range after taking a large dose of insulin. I am feeling as if I might have to approach this in a herbal aspect.
