Eye pain not caused by ON?

fI had optic neuritis last year pretty badly, so I understand the pain that ON can cause.

My question is: Is it possible to have the eye pain (eyes hurt when moving) and not have it caused by ON? Or is it possible to have the pain return as sort of a pseudo-flare?

My eyes don't hurt when I move them if I push on them. It's weird but I just want to know if this is going to cause me to go blind again?

I will call my ophthalmologist/neuro if they pain persists, I just want to know if anyone else has experienced the pain without their eyesight being affected.

I'm not sure on this one, I've never had ON, but I figure I'll throw it out there as a possibility. Could it maybe be a migraine? I'd still check with a doctor, you don't want to ignore it if something else is going on.

Okay I looked it up, I don't think it would be from a migraine. Migraines affect one side of your head. Cluster headaches are the ones that can cause eye pain, sorry the brain fog got to me there. I didn't see anything listed about eye movement causing pain with a cluster headache though. I've heard that after you've had ON when you have a flare it can cause blurry vision but not eye movement pain. I would definitely give your doctor a call.

I have eye pain, when I move my eye. It is trigeminal neuralgia. Common with MS. It can also cause pain in your cheek\nose area and teeth. It was my main symptom at the time I was finally diagnosed with MS. I could see fine, but the pain was awful.

That is really interesting, I have pain behind my cheeks and in my jaw. Stupid MS.

I will bring it up with my neuro when I see him next month

I have ocular migraines, migraines with aura and 99.9% of the time with no pain at all. During a few very rare times there's a very slight hint of a pain. Nothing bad.

When I started getting these, my first thought was they were ON. I was glad it wasn't! These are much easier to keep at bay!

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
