Time to take exercise seriously. I've gained 20 pounds since my steroid treatment last September. I spent 20 minutes on Saturday picking up dog poop in the backyard and on Sunday and today, I felt like I ran a marathon. My legs are sore. My back is sore. My feet are sore. My arms are sore. That is unacceptable for the level of physical activity I did. I also have a cold but still, ridiculous. Guess I've been more sedentary than I thought.
Recommendations for low impact exercise? I have trouble with my knees and feet so if I do too much I am feeling it immediately. Thanks for any advice!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I can't do anything anymore that puts weight on my hands (like downward dog in yoga, omg, that is torture). And I'm so weak and sore. But I only seem to know how to work out intensely! lol So now I've just slowly stopped exercising altogether. Not a good idea, I know.
Jessica, once again we are in the same boat! I've been thinking about you, hoping you are doing well.
You can adapt the yoga routine to your abilities. For example, I do 'downward facing dog' with my hands holding on to a chair.
I used to do intense, went to a gym from 20 years old until a year ago (roughly 20 years) but there were two flights of stairs to get to the machine room. . .
So, I bought a decent exercise mat, trained myself on Youtube 'yoga for Dummies', and have now adjusted.
When I visit my mom, I have gone with her to group exercise classes called 'Bone-builders' which are super low-impact, and actually worked really well. (Ironic, I went first before being diagnosed, and was frustrated because I was 20 to 30 years younger than most of them, and couldn't do some of the things, like walking heel to toe.)
Pedaling, wheelchair exercises, seated zumba, weights from a seated position.
If you can go to pt they can design a good home program and you are responsible for doing them at home.
I also do steps,, I started with twenty once a day, now I do 40 several times a day, of course holding, in two minutes my heart is pumping.
Let us know what you start doing.
