I Finally went to the ER after my fall, the pain won this round. They did lots of Xrays and a CT scan of head to my waist. They said I sprained my cervical and shoulder along with lots of bruises on most of right side body. The funny thing was the doc asked me if I was having bladder or bowel problems and I said yes and was from the MS, but he said I have 4 bulging disc's and he thought that was the cause of it. Thank you to everyone for the kind words and concern.

I'm glad you finally went. Did he say what will have to be done for the bulging disc's (surgery)? Take care of yourself Dave.

well -good 4 you!!- im guilty too- oh its this m s !! but ya- sometimes i ts not-- we feel bad-and that problem goes with m s- so -i would asume it too- sooo glad u went maybe-now- they fix that problem!!! gosh u had to be hurtin!!! hugs!!

Glad you went. Lucky that nothing was broken. What are they going to do about the bulging discs? I never know what is MS or not. Hope you feel better.

I fell last november and broke my ankle. I get the doctor thing, my ortho just looked at me when I told him I have ataxia. He still can't grasp the fact that I can't use crutches.

Thank you all,
For the concerns,prayers,suggestions and most of all the support. I've been dealing with this Disc problem for years along with its friend Spinal Stenosis. I've done years of PT and so many shots to try and shrink them, I just gave up and have used pain meds. Will talk to neuro about them interfering with the bladder and bowels and that might change my course of action. When surgery was brought up so was a WC so this did weigh heavy with the judge and me getting SSDI not to mention a deformed hip from birth, just so much going on and needing to seperate what is MS and what is back problems as they both cause leg pain and throw in spascity what a mix. They also pointed out that the 2 cysts on my Gallbladder are getting bigger and I have a fatty ring on my liver and Rebif is hard on a liver that is already going bad and that is what killed my mother, and I also have a DNA marker that said I would have liver problems all this and yet I'm trying to heal from the fall, just getting to be a bit much.So thanks again everyone for your support.

Sorry to hear of the results! :(

I've taken some bad falls myself and know how bad the damage can be. You often find out later sadly.

I too fell down an entire flight of stairs before my DX in the late 1980s. I have a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder as proof.

I hope you can heal fast and if I was you, I'd be looking for drugs that do not damage your liver.

I'm glad you finally went to the ER. I'm sorry to hear the results but I'm glad nothing is broken. Do whatever the doctors say to get better. You need lots of TLC!!! Hang in there. Keep me posted!

Oh Dave, I am sorry to hear all of this. You have been through so much. It just doesn't seem fair. Hang in there, you are a strong guy and will persevere!
