Enviromental toxins a Whos Who in DC

I subscribe to mercola.com. Dr. Mercola is an MD from the Chicago, IL area. His focus, practice, and newsletter is on wholistic health. He no longer sees patents. His focus is on developing products for natural health and writing his newsletter. He was on Dr. Oz recently.

His newsletter can be quite interesting. The most current one has an article about Monsanto - an Agrichem company - one of the world's largest. And one of the most egregious polluters in the world and developers of human environmental toxins.

I was surprised to learn that Donald Rumsfeld worked for Monsanto and is linked with the approval of Aspartame for human consumption while working there.

I posted the linking all sorts of Government officials to working previously at this company.

My feeling always has been that cancer and other serious illness have their foundation in exposure to these toxins.

monsanto=evil. that simple. genetically modified food can have far reaching effect on the human body. Most of it is either a collection of diseases or some new diseases that are not well understood. Read about GMO and decide for yourself if you want to eat it. mass produced=cheap=low quality. We are just being treated like quinea pigs by Monsanto. This experiment has been going on for a while and it is all under covers. No wonder there is an explosion of auto immune diseases when they genetically modify food. Get it?

Hi, I subscribed, thank you. I grow tomatoes, bananas,lemons, avocado , plantains, herbs,pumpkin, some beans, and I get some from neighbours in exchange, no pesticide, hormones, etc. All this with little land, and effort. My neighbour has ,berries, papaya, herbs, beans, bananas, plantains, peppers, tomatoes, mangos, and other stuff. We are always sending each other what we have, that way we always have variety. Another neighbour raises free range chickens, rabbits, and sells the eggs. You would not believe the difference in color, smell and taste, specially with the eggs.

That's great Alma. I have a container garden and bedding box and grow what I can. I had a quiche given to me by someone who has chickens in her backyard. You are so right about the difference!! Not just the taste but the color.

I hope everyone has access to growing some of your own veggies or have access to food exchanges/coops and Farmers markets. They are popping up everywhere in response to the unhealthy quality of our food supply. And its summertime!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. I am interested in all this.

I believe that FOOD MATTERS. I wish that my fellow MSers locally believed in it as well. I saw a MSer drinking diet Coke last night, which I consider poison. I believe that Monsanto is awful for the world. What they are doing is criminal. Also, i saw Donald Rumsfeld this morning on TV and he should have been put in prison for what he did to this country. Aspartame is awful for us and everyone else. I hope that anyone reading this does not drink this poison. This is one thing that you can stop. To me it is as bad as smoking. Hope you don't do that either.

I will subscribe because I am not on their list and I am very interested in subscribing to Mercola.com.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
