Today is the 3rd anniversary of my diagnosis. I must say I am a whole lot better today than I was on that day. Then, I could hardly walk, couldn't see straight and couldn't even remember who was president before Obama. LOL Now I go up and down stairs every day without holding onto the railing in our house, flush the toilet by facing it, hands at my side raising one leg straight out and flush with my big toe. I see 20/20 with my glasses but still don't drive because my vision has trouble correcting when I turn my head and look back quickly. I don't care about politics so it doesn't matter to me who was president. I have tinnitus in my left ear so it is getting harder for me to hear. I take a nap every afternoon but don't have problems with fatigue.
I stopped doing my injections last September and now treat my MS with diet, Baclofen for spasms, Topomax for headaches and a few supplements with the help of a Holistic MD. I feel so much better than I did while using Copaxone.
It's only been 3 years since I got my diagnosis but the neuro said I had probably had it for almost 40 years before that! So, for all of you who are waiting for a diagnosis, don't give up. Hopefully, you will never hear "oh, it's just housewife syndrome". Yep, I actually had a doctor tell me that once.
As I've always said and still do:
It's just another boil on the butt of life. It may be painful, but it won't kill ya.

New here since the start of September, not diagnosed with anything yet.
Just wondering how the doctor was able to say how long you had suffered from MS prior to diagnosis. Is there a certain test or something they used to be able to tell you that?
