donating organs?

as a person with MS, i'm just wondering if we can donate organs or blood. my mom will need a new liver soon and im wondering if i should even get tested? i used to donate blood, but now i cant because i get too tired. thanks, kelly

here is a link from health and human services website on who can become a donor and what you should do if you have a medical condition. Simply put, go to doc and get going on blood tests to see if your organs are able to withstand.

I used to be a regular blood donor. When I got dx with MS, they said that they could no longer take my blood.

But I was told that I could still donate my organs. Sounds weird to me but that was what I was told.

I've been told that I can no longer donate blood because it could cause a flare up for me because I have Crohn's disease, and that I could not donate my organs because of the medications I take.
