It's not in your head..Something is wrong. Do the LP if they ask. Make a list of your symptoms..keep records from now on of your attacks.
Don't give up..

Same story again. So many of us have allready heard that. YOU know something is wrong, dont give up.
If you are going to the VA and they want to do a LP, do it. Do any test they want you to have then you have tests to look at if more are needed down the road.
Many of us have been in your situation, even me. On my second visit to the ER, a hospital business manager came down and insinuated that it was all in my head.
Thank God a couple days later, all my tests confirmed that it wasn't. I was lucky (or unlucky, take your pick) because I now had a medical label.
Life does become a little easier once you get tagged. I'm officially a sick puppy and I don't have to go through those hoops anymore.
Keep the faith, and hopefully, you'll get an answer soon. Peace always
