Well I got through day one of steroids and it went good. I was worried about having a fever but that did'nt get in the way. I'm getting relief in my eyes, double vision and all my joints are'nt hurting as bad. The side effects are'nt to bad. A strange taste in mouth sweats and a bit of fatigue which is better than no sleep I think. I'll find out tonight for sure. Just the feeling better is a good sign and if nothing gets worse I will look at it as a sucess.

I am glad your first steroid treatment went well for you! I understand that taste in your mouth. The taste makes me feel like I've licked the inside of a tin can! yuck! Metallic flavor. Not fun. But, the odd taste will eventually go away. Likely as soon as you are done with the treatment! Or within a day or two!

If you are already getting relief in your eyes, that is wonderful!
I didn't sleep well while I was on the Solumedrol, but, I hope you get some sleep in spite of it!

Most don't sleep well while on the IVs but I was sleeping 16 hours a day. Go figure. Really bad flare. I kept a jar of hard candies by me for the bad taste in my mouth. Hope all continues to go well for you Gramps. :)
