I've been following it the best I can. It seems like it will help in diagnosing MS much easier. Also in charting disease progression. It's a good thing.

I hope so...I really do. Every new discovery gets us closer. There are people who have devoted their whole lives working on a cure for us. The thing is...nobody is totally sure why we get MS. It could be one thing that everyone has missed so far, or a number of factors that is different for everyone. Until they know WHY..it will be hard to find a total cure. But they're getting close. I have so much hope. -Jen

my mom said they found the gene that causes MS and they know if it is dominate or recessive so our children can find out if they carry the gene too.

I heard that they found a combination of genes that makes a person susceptible to getting MS. It doesn't mean if you have those genes that you will get MS.
