PharmOFighter, I understand your friend's reactions. I have people ask me if I am limping because of a broken leg/ankle or whatever and when I tell them MS, it is like they back off. So, there is that reaction. But it separates the men from the boys,, so to speak. Or the girls from the women. If they are quality people, they don't care or they really like you. If your symptoms are invisible, you could wait until a few dates. That way, you'll know them a little better and know if it is anything worth pursuing.
Everyone is always hiding something. They could have cancer, and you don't know it as well. They could have a lot of things. I have met people who have told me that they have other auto immune disorders and they look OK on the outside, but they are in a lot of pain. There are also a lot of mental illnesses that don't show up for a while. So everyone has something. That is what we learn. It is just what we can live with in others. I personally can't live with someone who smokes cigarettes. I cannot live with that. So we all have our things.
Best of luck to you.
