It sounds to me that it is time for you to contact your neuro about the possibility of changing therapies. You should not be having these reactions so severe. Benadryl will probably only make you drowzy and you would have to take it every day to counter the reaction. Nope, I would call my neuro and change meds. Good Luck.

I had reactions for probably right up to 4 mths and I've been on Copaxone for a lil over 6 mths now. I did notice the reactions were getting less and less as time went by. I used cortizone cream to help with the itching and ice to lessen the bumps. I hope this helps.

I had reactions like yours for the first 3 or 4 months but then they gradually went away. I very rarely have any site reaction anymore. But in the beginning I did. I would have a lump still from the week before by the time I had rotated around again so over a week. But less and less to the point that now an occasional bruise every now and then a lump under the skin that will go away within a day or two with massage. Now I will say my thighs were the worst. I have really muscular quads. So I moved those injections to the lovely upper inner thigh where there's plenty of fat ;). hope it gets better for you too!

I have just passed my one year on Copaxone and I want to say the same things that have already been said. Reactions like itchiness get better as your body gets used to the medication. I am extremely happy with Copaxone. Nobody likes to have MS, but we can draw a line in the sand to stop it in its tracks.
