If you look in the treatment section you will find several threads about Copaxone. A lot of people have written a lot about it so you don't just have to take my word for it!

I have been on it since February and the only side effects I have experienced are at the injection sites. It can feel like a bee sting for about 5min after and you can develop welts that typically go away in a few days. There are several ways you can reduce them but it really varies for everyone.

I've been on Copaxone for 2yrs & the only side effects thhat I have are welts. Sometimes it sting for a few mins but most of the time I don't feel it. I was going to switch to Avonex but the side effects sucks. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I've been on Copaxone for 10 years. I have minor injection site reactions but no other problems. I didn't find this out until a year or so ago but Shared Solutions - the "group" for copaxone may pay for the entire cost if you fit the financial criteria. When I started the cost was approx. $1,500 per 30 doses. The cost has more than doubled. The help - fiancially, physically, etc. through Shared Solutions is great.

My neuro wanted me to take Rebif as he felt my MS might be fairly aggressive. I hated the drug. After 1.5 years on Rebif I was given an MRI and it was clean (no new lesions and all active lesions became inactive). Still I hated how Rebif made me feel. Nothing serious, but I felt fluish on my injection days, and my MS baseline symptoms would all remind me that I had MS on those days (aches and pains, MS hug, right eye blurriness, tinglng in hands). Eventually I quit Rebif because of how I felt.
After I quit Rebif, I felt great. Almost as if I didn't have MS... But 1.5 years later I had another relapse and when I had a new MRI, I had 13 new lesions and 7 active. I limmediately went back on treatment. I learned my lesson. I will treat my MS as long as I can, and if not Rebif, I will take something. Maybe Copaxone.

Been on Copaxone over 2years. Very few side effects. Just feels like a bee sting once in a while. Mostly completely painless. Neat auto-Jett gizmo lets me load and shoot in under a minute. I follow up with a freezer pack. Overall, I'm good. Most recent MRI showed "improvement"...whatever that means. Feeling okay so far. Shared solutions is very supportive.

I have been on Copaxone for almost 2 years. Just welts once in awhile. The bee sting feeling was just the first couple of months. You get used to it. No other side affects though. MRI has showed no new lesions so I am assuming its working. Good luck!
