In addition to heat sensitivity is anyone else really adversely affected by cold weather? I had a bad experience this weekend. I went to a Halloween party. I wasn't dressed appropriately for the weather. I had a coat but was wearing a long silky robe (I went as Mommie Dearest...NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!!!). The longer I was out in the cold the more I tensed up. The more I tensed up, the more difficult it was to walk and control my movements. I drove myself home despite my better judgement and by the time I landed on my couch I was uncontrollably twitching/jerking (legs, arms, hands, neck...pretty much my whole body) and could not warm up. The twitching and my inability to warm up lasted about an hour after I got home. It was terrible. Anyone else have a reaction like this to cold weather? I can remember some similar experiences from last winter but nothing that extreme.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm both heat, and cold sensitive. I find when I go outside, even if it's not that bad, I'm so beyond cold, and sometimes it doesn't even matter how many layers I'm wearing. The cold it feels gets into my bones, and my legs, and lower/upper back tense up as well. Usually when I come inside, I get a "cold chill" where my whole body will jerk...
I like to try and keep those hand warmer things near by, so I can always slip a pair into my boots, and/or mittens.
Hope the winter is a mild one for you!
How awful, never do that again. My thermostat is also broken. Heat sensitivity and cold too. I think that one comes from thyroid problem. When I get out from bed in the morning and that cold hits me, my whole body decides to freelance independently,,, lol
Shivers, spasms, shake, it's a party until I drink something hot and adjust the ac for warmer temps.
So drinking hot liquids helps me

Yes, I understand the thermostat problem.
