Changings seasons and flares

I was just wondering if people notice that they have more flares when the seasons are changing? (ie summer to fall, winter to spring etc.)

Why I am asking is, with Crohn's disease, I notice that it flares up most when the seasons are changing. I am in the worst pain when it fluctuates a lot between high and low pressure weather systems.

Since Crohn's is closely related to MS, maybe the change in weather does the same?

I feel so much better when the season in Florida changes from hot and sticky to cool and dry. I seem to come alive. Same difference if I travel home near Buffalo - I feel alive while I'm there. :) As soon as I wake up back down here, I feel like I"m in hell again. Winters are so much more bearable here! :)

I know how you are feeling with the weather changes.
For the past few weeks I have had aches and pains and my MS was acting up a little a few weeks ago.
I did not feel this way last year and I am not looking forward to it at all. this year. With all the rain that we are having it is not doing our bodies good and now the snow, I am feeling it.

looked up your profile to see where you are and yup I we have the same climate...northern ontario. hello fello canuck. oh yeah i absolutely think weather changes are an issue with us. the worst for me anyway are the cold season, legs get more spastic in the cold, muscles hurt like hell, want to sleep alll the time. summer is my best time and i hate winters anymore. the worst heat of summer also kicks my ass...jeez, just can't win; a constant 72 f, 21 c. wouldbe great!

I am also having a heck of a time with climate change. I live in the northeast and right now we're dealing with rain and colder temperatures. I wish the warmer temps would come back. When it was real hot i had no energy. Wanted to sleep all the time and legs killed me.
Now that its cold and wet if i have the slightest shiver my muscles from head to toe tighten right up and the pain kicks in. I am now going on 4 days with very little sleep and i'm working until 1100pm. Then have a half hour drive.
Would love the weather to stay at a happy medium. Keep your chin up and stay warm.

Whenever a cold front comes thru, I know it at least a day ahead because it makes my MS hug go crazy! :-(

I know the heat can cause a lot of problems, I was just wondering if changing seasons specifically can affect MS.

I used to always flare up with Crohn's disease in November and April.

So far, my MS has been pretty quiet, but my Crohn's disease has been causing me a lot of grief.

What a pain! We never seem to catch a break!
