I seem to have more bruises, but I think it is just because I am more clumsy. I don't recall bruising being a side effect.

I bruise easily too... Don't remember how I get them most of the time... I know that my balance is way off so i just usually chalk it up to being clumsy

Good question and one I wish I had the answer to also. I constantly have bruises and they aren't just little bruises, they are always big,ugly,nasty things. Sometimes it looks like I've been beaten. I always joke with my husband someone is going to think he's a horrible husband. I know I walk into things all the time, but I don't ever remember it hurting enough to warrant the bruising. It's very embarrassing. The other day I started to fall and caught myself with my cane... by sitting the cane down on my little toe. Later that night, I thought my feet were dirty and tried to wipe the dirt off. Well, it wasn't dirt. My toe was black from bruising. All I could do was laugh about it. It's just another one of those things to deal with.

I bruise easier too. And when i inject, I have bruised about half the time. Sometimes ugly big with welting too. Dr. said I had hit blood capillaries when that happens. But in general I too have noticed that I bruise much easier.

I bruise a lot, too! I have them on my thighs -- from taking my Copaxone injections. I was taking them in my arms, but I couldn't wear a short sleeved blouse or tank top. I told my husband, too, that people were going to think he beats me! Now I just take the injections in my belly, thighs, buttocks. I hate the bruises! --and they take so long to go away!

i noticed that i bruise too. and alot of the ime i have no idea where they come from.it seems everytime i turn around i have a new one. i guess i am not the only one that this happens to.

My aide tells me mine are from the wheelchair. They have been there for years it seems. Since I have no feeling I wouldn't know about it anyway.

Tried to cover it up with tanning lotion but made it look even worse.

I still bruise easily .. my doc tells me it is becasue of the b-12 defficany... grin.. all i can say is i am grateful that i am no longer on blood thinners...grin.. talk about brusing... my poor husband hated it when i wore a t-shirt and shorts back then and we went out...rofl...lmao.. it seriously did look like i was a walking ad for 1-800 abused wives...grin.. everytime i touched anything i bruised...heh heh heh..

I have gotten used to bruises to the point I have decided this summer to igrore them and wear shorts and bathing suits. I have marks i won't call scars cuz they are going away - after a year. I use B12 shots sometimes but even they leave bruises. But so what! no one who really cares will have a problem or they'll ask me and thats an opportunity for a conversation. Sorry I'm going on and on. It's just I refuse to put my life on hold because of something that may happen or not or someone may think or not.

Me too. At one point when I mentioned it to my dr. (not the neuro) I was told it is common with diseases that affect the immune system. Something we need to be aware of I guess.

My Nuero. told me one of my Drugs will cause this. Cellcept( a canser fighting drug).

Thanks to all of you for your replies. I was curious and you've satisfied my curiousity. Strangely enough, I have never gotten a bruise from an injection.

I have always bruised easy. I am told that the auto immune side of the disease is sometimes vascular...makes sense. I get the huge turn yellow in the end bruises the ones that are soooo attractive. Glad hubby is patriotic Marine and loves Red White and 'Blue'! hehehe

so glad to hear someone else has bruising...thought I was the only one. Constantlying finding bruises on me and not remembering where it came from...makes you wonder if you were out sleepwalking somewhere the night before....thanks for the input
