YES YES AND YES, strange isn't it. I have such pain sometimes I can't walk. I have burning, numbness into my middle toe, so many things and she says it also is weird that i have only brain lesions. But remember no matter how small the slices are on the MRI scan there can be lesions in between them that can't be seen in spine for the legs. I have no answer but i have exactly the same problem. I kept trying to get out of it saying maybe it's restless leg syndrome, I made the doc take my case 3 times to the round table of MS docs at the clinic. The last appt she said, ok you have MS and Im not doing it again. So get over it. I have the weakness in my entire left side, face, arm, lips, drop things with my left hand and I fell 3 times since december because my left leg goes phantom. ???? What a strange disease right? So there are no right or wrong answers I guess. Good luck to you.

YES I ALSO. From the very beginning of this MS thing I've had trouble. I have about the same amount of lesions. If they are located in the back at a certain point they do effect the legs. I have a really great nero, Dr. Anne, and she explained it like this....You brain is the hard drive. It tells the programs what to do. You don't have to have leisions on the spine. So we have a "clitch" in our "leg program". The brain can decide to shut anything down at any time. The legs and eyes are biggest problems. Somedays I can wake up and have to use a cane, the next I'm fine. Sometimes I can be walking along and them all of a sudden I get this god awful pain shoot through my foot like I just broke it. Can hurt like a broken bone for days. Just no way to control it. Tried everything out there I think. But anyway you are not alone in this.

thanks so much for your replies. sometimes i tell myself i dont' have ms its something else too. i'm sorry you guys have legs problems too but i'm glad to hear i'm not crazy. i'm just having a really bad day. i'm incredibly weak, my arms hurt, things are kinda blurry and the pain and burning, i think i may be having a relapse.

My symptoms started in my legs - and until just recently I had ONLY lesions on my brain. BUT the pain in my legs and weakness, spasms have always been predominately in my legs. I know have them all over - but I can relate to the pain, numbness and having difficulty walking-dragging a leg and extreme fatigue. I think that MS is so unpredictable that it's really not reasonable to say it can't be. This IS a STRANGE disease, I agree!!

Montel Williams has 2 books (that I know of). These are some good reading books for people with MS. I know each person has different problems at different times, he experienced quite a bit of pain himself.

I too am having problems with my leg leg and my over all coordination. I have lesions on my brain (back and right side) yet I also have a lesion on my C2.
