I have noticed for the last 2 months or so, that whenever I eat, my abdomen (just below my ribcage)gets really bloated and burns a little, mostly it just hurts. I can't eat anything until about 2 in the afternoon or it's really bad. It hurts so bad that I have to lay on the arm of my couch to put pressure on it. At first, I thought it was maybe an ulcer, but I am being tested for Chronic Fatigue and have noticed that is one of the symptoms. . .could this just be an ulcer or should I mention it to my neuro? I hate to complain about every little thing, it makes me feel like a hypochodriac! But it really does hurt and I've lost about 10 pounds in three weeks, which is okay with me!! :) Does anyone else get this pain or feeling of bloating? It really feels like my abdomen is going to explode! Any feedback would be great. Thanx.

humidity and heat bloat me, even younger it did too. I was just dx'd in march but have always been affected like this since I can remember. the only relief i have noticed is when i cool down again from swimming or cold showers.

hi there i have this bloating i look 9 mmonths pregnant and my stomach to is tender im not sure what it is i have noticed i get it more the more tired i am so that would relate to what you have said about chronic fatigue another thing i have tho is irritable bowel syntrom and yours does sound very much like that the fact you are in pain and cant eat till a certain time do you have any other symptoms such as constipation or diaria ??? if you have there other symptons of ibs see your general docter even if its just for advice hope this helps a little love lizxxxx

Definitely bring this up to a doctor. Your weight loss alone makes it a significant problem.

Remember, MSers can get other diseases and conditions, and bloating in women can be one of the only signs of ovarian cancer, among other things. If this is something new for you and/or the intensity of the discomfort has changed, get it checked out.

Hi there! I also have the bloated abdomen. I just cannot believe that this was the first thing that popped up after joining! I have been worried. I look 6 months pregnant, and I am normally about 110. I did gain about 10 lbs over the last couple weeks, but I have never has my stomack look this big. Also, I have been reading about it being a sign of Ovarian Cancer! Perhaps we both need to speak with our PCP. Good luck and let us know what happens, I will do the same.

I have the same problem... first of all I know this is embarrassing but if you are not regular or have problems going you could have IBS or it could be gall stones, or it COULD be M.S. related but you should defiantly go to your doctor, I ignored mine and it got so bad it would spam and make me curl into fetal position and vomit, so it is best not to play around, plague your doctor if you have to but don't suffer through it needlessly

Interesting Alison. I have constipation problems due to taking opioids, and I thought that was why at first. But after having a BM, it has yet to go away. Oh, and just to add to the "Ovarian Cancer" thought, another sign is "spotting" - just FYI, as I was reading up on it
