You should find out the number of lesions, their size, and if any of them are gadolinium-enhanced. Gd-enhanced means you have active disease. Hopefully your MRI was performed with and without constrast. You also should have in your possession the CD of the MRI - they should give it to you - no questions asked. The CD can be viewed on any WIndows machine (XP, but not Vista). The viewing sofrware is embedded in the CD.
There are some people with MS who do not have a positive spinal fluid test.

It is very difficult in our situation to make the medicine decision because the MS, if that is truly what we have, isn't affecting us much so the thought of an intrusive med seems difficult to accept....and we may not even need it.Yet if we do not accept it, we may be asking for trouble down the road.
