BG-12 Has anybody started using this medicine yet? It was due to come out in the UK this month but the whole proses of approval is being delayed for God knows how long. But it is my understanding that FDA approved quite a while ago and it has been out in the US for quite some time. My neuro is very keen to put me on those meds. I would love to hear some feedback from those who using it already! Thank you! ;0) x x x x

In the US it has the name Tecfidera. It works great for me. I've been using it for 7 months. My balance & walking r greatly improved. Some have gotten the side effect of face-flushing. After 7 months I got my 1st face flushing.

I saw a new neurologist on Monday & he is trying to get me started on it. I'm hopeful for the 1st time in a long time to try this new med.

Hi there!
I'm just on Day #8 of Tecfidera. So far things are going well. Minimal side effects...just a bit of flushing on the first day and some minor gas and bloating. When I went on the full dose yesterday, there was a bit of heartburn after the evening pill. Nothing to bet excited about. At least not as of yet.

Hope the UK gets things approved for you and many others.

Don't worry about getting the side effects. I have been on Tecfidera for 7 months and just had my 1st case of flushing. Think positive!! Hope it works great for u!!

I've been on BG-12 (Tefidera) for about 7-8 months. I've been on Copaxone, Avonex and Tysabri. I absolutely love BG-12! It is so easy to take. Comparatively, the side affects are nil, but there are some.

I experienced some mild flushing for about 5 months, and it has gone away. Other than that, I've had no side affects.

I hope you get the opportunity to try this medication. It is the best I've tried I think. Good Luck!

After less than two weeks on Tecfidera, my walking was a little worse and my brain had turned to absolute mush. I stopped it and went back on Betaseron and I am now back to "normal" - whatever that is!
