Recently had my yearly visit at the neurologists office and I was told to work on improving my balance. I couldn't even walk on the balls of my feet or place one foot infront of the other with out loosing my balance. I am needing any suggestions anyone has for quick, easy exercises that I can do to try to help strengthen my balance abilities. I feel horrible not being able to be more steady on my feet. The neurologist said improving balance is one activity all MS'rs can actually improve through practice.m Thanks for any helpful suggestions!!

Also some of the people on my ataxia forum uses Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board by nintendo and highly recommends it. I hope this helps
Terry Wahls, MD mentions to walk on heels with toes pointing up and use a hallway or be able to keep yourself steady with some sort of wall, etc.
Another she mentions is standing on one foot as long as you can, with a goal to 30 seconds on either leg or even a minute. Yoga also has many balance training poses.
I appreciate all the ideas you have shared.
