I have been gone from this site for 1 1/2 2 years.
I have trouble typing and this site can be a pain in the butt at times.I find when typing if you hit the wrong key the page jumped ahead or back and everything you typed is gone. I now am using the Dragon software and a friend told me to first type everything in to a word program then cut-and-paste. So I am going to give this another go.

I am in even more pain than I was. I have developed a rheumatoid arthritis. The onset was about two months ago. my hands and fingers are very painful. My finger joints are swollen and are very painful making it harder to do things. The swelling is starting to make my fingers bend backwards the doctor called it hyperextended.
I have just frustrated my counselor suggested for me to come back here to get some support so I'm going to give it a go

So happy to "see" you here again. You and Bruce have been in my prayers daily. As if the MonSter wasn't enough to deal with, you now have to contend with the rheumatoid problem too. Does the fun ever end? I hope they can figure out something to give you some relief.

nice to c u back! Even w/out rhem arth i agree the site can b annoying with forcing u to reedite things due to site probs etc

Happy to have you back, just wishing it was under better circumstances. I can still type , on certain keyboards, but my husband also installed Dragon Software on my laptop. Hoping u have better days ahead!

Glad to see you back here. Sorry you went away from here & that you have RA too.
I would love to know if you like dragon?
I currently use the apple mini-ipad & that has a speech function on it but often gets words wrong.

Yes I love my Dragon. It was pain in the butt at first but it learns your voice and your words

Hi kayce! I too have been gone for that long too. I'm no longer a community leader- they didn't hear from me and sent me emails I just didn't feel like answering. I left for no reason other than I got tired of focusing on my MS. When I think about it, I'm not really much worse off than when I was here last. That makes me feel good about my health. Mentally, I've changed quite a lot. I called today 1994, not 2015! Didn't even phase me.

Well, I'm glad to hear you are still around. I know how hard the past years were for you and your husband. Hang in there, and don't be a stranger. Lynne

it's good to hear from you as well. I know how it is not to want to focus on the bad. I get the mental thing as well. I have the most patient husband in the world. I phoned home to talk to Bruce only to call him one hour later and have the same conversation. He just listens to me and ask like he hasn't heard it before. He likes to joke around telling me I get a new husband everyday lol

we should start a group that is uplifting where we can joke and laugh and not focus on the bad

Wow! I just joined a few hours ago after trying to go it alone for 13 years. It has gotten so bad that I feel alone, frustrated, angry, confused but just knowing I am not alone seems to be helpful. Unfortunately, I have been verbally abusive since feeling this sense of hopelessness but I believed I created it. A positive mood has done me very well as I through the 18 prescriptions in the garbage almost a year ago. Physically, I feel good (lost 100lbs) but the hopelessness is a result of internalizing my pain or perhaps the monster is taking its toll on my brain. So it's only Paxil, blood pressure meds and of course the good Lord! I guess I just need encouragement as the only thing that has made me aware is that I realize I've been a jerk and have to combat the negativity this disease and the circumstance I now find myself in. My wife is so sweet but I've been argumentative, obnoxious and cruel. Please help me turn this around- as I don't want to be THAT guy!

Glad to see you back to Lynne too. You were both great help to me esp at the beginning.
Goochman, post a new message for positive thread or I will do one over next couple days to get it started. I am going to bed in couple of mins. In Australia.
I have a group but not had not had much comments on it recently. You are welcome To post there too.

Welcome back. I haven't been here too much either because of other things keeping me busy. Sorry to hear about your rheumatoid arthritis dx. Hope that you find something that helps it.
