Never been on that antibiotic, but I've been on some while I was on Avonex and never had a problem. You may want to check with your nuero. Good luckl!

As with any new medication you get, it is always a good idea to advise the doctor of the all the medications you are taking. If the prescription came from somebody other than your neuro, then definately make sure they are aware of your other medications for any conflict. I would assume your neuro is very familiar with compatibility issues with meds he prescribes with a DMD, but you know what they say about assuming! hahah. Seriously, another safety net is the filling pharmacy, except they won't know that you take Avonex (because that comes from a speciality pharmacy), you should call them and tell them you are taking what MS drug and want to know the compatibility of it with this new medication you are taking. They are specially trained to verify this information and have the cross-referencing guides necessary to make a thorough check for compatibility and safety.
