I'm constantly knocking stuff over and dropping things. I mostly walk in to stuff though. My body is covered in various bruises from it.

yeah, i knock all kinds of things over. and drop stuff, walk into stuff. fall up or down stairs A LOT.

so, yeah, clutz here for sure. not sure exactly what causes it. i think i react slower than i used to?

I'm always doing this, I have plastic drinking "glasses" now, because I always smash them.
I'm usually walking into stuff, and have a lovely pattern of bruises on my legs and arms (perhaps I should invest in shin pads and a crash helmet lol)

It happens apparently because MS sufferers apparently have a poor sense of where they are in space. This is tested by sobriety tests. Try closing your eyes, holding your arms out and touching your nose. Usually an MS sign is overshooting and missing your nose. Add walking one foot in front of the other, and I always fall down (so I'm glad I don't drive lol).

And dropping things can be because of the nerves in your arms and poor reflexes. Which is confirmed by reflex tests.

Although with MS, I find it's impossible to explain some symptoms. I'd probably find it easier to explain string theory and I'm not a physicist LOL :D

Yes, I too am in the Klutz Klub. My hands and arms are always moving hurriedly and knocking things over and after picking things up I only drop them again. Geesh. I try to laugh at myself over that stuff. My fingertips are always buzzing with the tingles so my sense of touch is compromised somewhat.

Yep! It's like a constant state of drunkeness without the buzz!!!

I am more clutzy than most I know and I notice the episodes seem to come in swarms. When I'm really in the throws of one my dog just takes cover and hides!
Why it happens? Maybe something to do with the brain/nerve signals not getting from point a to point b clearly from the MS messing around with the CNS?

Can be very klutzy, seem to trip over air :)

I've been clumsy all my life, long before I knew I had MS. When the symptoms became bad, several years before diagnosis, I started dropping things. I came across a pamphlet by John Pageler years ago. He did his own survey and found that most people with MS were clumsy as kids.

I have always been clumsy. I tease my neice when she does something klutzy that she is definitely my girl... at least now I have an excuse!

yep total klutz and actually I read something about the nerve sheth getting destroyed and it causing nerve pain, as well as equilibrium problems and I think this is probably why we have so many issues with Klutzery...

I also have a tendency to spill stuff...mostly from knocking something over. I don't recall being terribly clutzy as a child, but I certainly had more than my fair share of falls, accidents, and stitches. So maybe I was more of a Klutz than I realize.

I agree that it comes in spurts--the knocking over of things and/or hanging onto thigs. When I get these Klutz spurts they often last for almost a day--nearly every few minutes. My poor little dog (six pounds) gets scared a lot during these Klutz times. He is very sensitive to any kind of noise, so me knocking over one, two, three, or more items causes him to run out of the room. I wonder if he thinks that I'm doing it on purpose.
