No, I am not on Rebif. But lately, the last 2 months I have had to force myself to eat. Being fat I find that to be a good thing. :P But not so much once I start being to weak.

I have wondered if it was meds. But this started before starting some of the new meds. At the time, i thought it was pain stopping me from eating.

So, I am not sure why.

MS gave me gastroparesis--so yes its hard to eat this whol last year. I am not on any meds--but find my apetite pretty much nonexistent. I've lost 30 pounds... :(

I have lost my appetite, but when I have not eaten for a while (6 to 8 hours), I will feel famished. Usually this is about the time I am also feeling fatigued, so I eat things that are easy to prepare. Frozen meals or sandwiches. Not so great. I am fortunate that many fruits and veggies can be eaten raw. I love sugar snap peas, green beans, and carrots. I also have plenty of fruit around.

I am on month three of Rebif. I haven't noticed any changes in my appetite. I'd call MS LIfelines and ask a nurse. Appetite changes can be associated with depression and depression can be associated with Rebif. How's your mood and sleep?

As Mac said, depression can cause appetite issues. When I was on Avonex it sent me into a nasty deep dark depression. I did not eat for 9 days. yes, 9 days. The most I ate was 1/2 a bread stick. On day 9 I was so weak and knew if I did not force myself to eat I had to go to the hospital. It was that bad. I called my neuro and she pulled me off the medicine, put me on anti-depressants. 3 months later I stopped the anti[depressants and the Avonex was out of my body and I was all better.

Just some food for thought. (No pun intended) Be on the lookout for depression. It can happen fast with some of the CRAB meds.

I was on Rebif for 8 years and never lost my appetite. I have always had an appetite, no matter what. I have to eat or I feel lousy. Have always felt that way since I was little. Think it is something like low blood sugar.

My thing that I got from Rebif was ANXIETY big time. That was my side effect.

And they are right. Call the nurse with Rebif. I didn't have this privilege when I was on it. No one told me about MS Lifelines and no nurse or anyone from Rebif ever called me about it. So I was left blowing in the wind. In the meantime, my anxiety cost me big time, family and friends. I cannot take anti-depressants because of the side effects. I tried them all. I didn't realize the anxiety I felt was from Rebif until a local MS person talked about her anxiety from Rebif. Then I did a trial period without it and what a difference.

I am on Avonex and do not go into a dark hole, but I am kinda lousy for a day after. At least now, I can call their nurse and ask questions. They are much more supportive and treat me a lot better than Rebif ever did.

I have had past issues with depression so I know how it feels and when I am depressed I eat neva been an issue where I didn't have desire to eat. Generally ok some down days but most days are good. So I don't know.
