Anyone heard Terry Wahls talk on mitochondria?

She has progressive MS. Went from a zero-gravity recliner to being able to ride a bike. She was able to do it through diet and supplements. The talk is interesting, the diet seems reasonable. And being able to make huge improvements while being progressive seems amazing. I wish I could see her MRIs and hear what her neuro has to say. Is anyone trying her diet and supplements? I am not doing the diet exactly, though I love adding more good greens and fruit. I do already take many of the supplements. I tried adding the CO Q 10 yesterday. At 50mg one time in the morning. I had horrible- like think you might be dying-stomach cramps so I won't try that again. I read it could possibly be the filler cheaper brands use- I bought mine at Trader-Joe's, but until I get a reliable recommendation I won't be taking it.

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts/experience with this.

There has been many threads on this lady. She is quite a fighter. Her diet basically consists of greens and organ meats. I don't know how anyone can sustain on a diet like that, but I guess those who are completely determined can, just not me. Food is one of the last pleasures I have in life, and I'm not about to change quality of life like that.

You should do a search on Dr. Wahls to see prior threads.

Yep! Have heard her talk and am working on switching my diet. The other person on here you should talk to is Qazo....... he did the same things Terry Wahls did. Read The Inflammatory Syndrome book, and it goes through each autoimmune disease, tells you what you are lacking and what you need. You add the supplements, change your diet, and then can take the supplements out when your diet matches what your body needs. Basically, whole, organic, raw, fruits and vegetables and a lot of water with lemon in it. I take COQ10, Vitamin D, Folic Acid, another multivitamin, and pro-biotics. Go to the Vitamin Store to purchase good quality vitamins and supplements. When I discussed this with my neuro, he basically said it would never work...... they are all about drugs though. Thank you for sharing. How inspiring. I try to treat my MS with diet and LDN and I think that is why I am still doing pretty good. My goal is a glutenfree, intifungal, anti inflammatory diet. I have been on the Swank diet but after watching this I am considering eating some meat. This makes so much sense.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
