Both bother me, but I can do things about the cold. I HATE THE HEAT! Actually, I hate the humidity more. August in Chicago is like being in MS hell.

I was actually dxd with Raynaud's(sp) long before MS, but over the years it has gotten much better.

I prefer heat, I find the cold kind of painful.

Well, I live in the tropics with no air conditioning and I am literally sweating profusely most of the day. It is horrid! People call this place "Paradise" but it feels more like the other place! The heat bothers my husband and children just as much as it does me and we are constantly lethargic because of it so I know I am not unduly effected by it. So hard to get much done when you are so miserable and tired! I am surprised there aren't more murders here!
In a few weeks will be moving to a place where it rarely gets colder than 32 or hotter than 75. Can't wait! No more sticking my head in the freezer or taking a drive around the island just to cool off in the car's ac! For those of you who are more effected by cold and long for the sun, DON'T move to the tropics! Think more in terms of Arizona, New Mexico and the like!

A couple of winters ago I did notice that the cold I had grown up with did seem more bothersome but that was when it was below 20 and the wind was blowing. So I am not too concerned with moving to a place where the lows are in the 30's.

They both affect me, but heat is the worse for me.

Lastwinter, you couldn't have said it better! Spasms from the cold and like a limp noodle from the heat. That's great! I do prefer being cold over hot. Heat brings on many more symptoms for me. I am a NASTY HOT woman!!! When I'm cold, I shiver a lot, am a spasm machine, plus my Raynauld's is horrible! My lips actually are blue! Getting warm to me is easier than cooling off!!!

I too suffer from cold. I tend to wear long johns, and sweaters and jackets on the average day...and when the temperature is low, I tend to get chilled, and recovery is near impossible.
I am average size...not over or under weight. I just tend to have issues with being cold all the time!
Heat also affects me, but, the cold bothers me alot during winter and fall months!

i'm in MO and it gets really freakin humid here also! constant battle trying to find a comfortable 'place'. i vote for a temp controlled bubble some days!!!

I was born during a blizzard in the holiday season and have grown up to really really hate the winter. Im in NJ and want out so bad. People retire to Fla for a reason, the heat is better than the cold. So if you have to choose where to spend ur MS retirement years, pick Fla. not Alaska. And when it comes to the "limp noodle" prob..........Where's my Viagra?! LOL

Im one of those that hates cold too. if my hands get cold they go numb, lasts about an hour, the cold goes straight through my bones, i hate it , i hate it. I do much better in the spring and summer. i go to the pool alot but i dont get real hot, i get in the pool every 15 min. because i have had a "heat'' experience. so it can get ya, but pretty much the cold for me too.

Both are hard. I am still wearing fingerless gloves at night while typing. My hands stay so cold. When it's cold, I can't seem to get warm. But as soon as the weather gets over 80, I start struggling with heat related problems. I assume my whole thermoregulation is messed up. I carry ice packs with me in the summer. I have more fingerless gloves than most have socks!

I get a bit spastic in the winter, but my first summer with MS (last summer) was terrible when it was hot .. AND it was unseasonably cold here. Toronto's terrible in the summer, so humid, much like Chicago which I find has a similar climate based on a few visits there. Bleh. I'd move somewhere between Seattle and San Diego in a heartbeat if it were feasible - and if the US didn't have the dumbest healthcare in the world. :\
