However, I did try to quit it once last year and just stopped taking them...DON'T EVER TRY THAT!! I believe Lexapro must be one of the drugs that you have to "gradually" get off of. I was having the strangest "dizzy" spells and weird sensations of my "place in space" perceptions. I started taking them again immediately...the weird sensations/dizziness stopped!
I've also considered trying Cymbalta, for the same reason that LauraLH mentioned...it's suppose to help with PAIN! That would be nice! Has anyone out there experienced this with Cymbalta??

Cymbalta does a really good job for me. All my friends with MS use it now, too.

While I am not a person that suffers from depression, I have noticed that I yet to blow my top and certainly suffer from less stress also. Whether it's related to Cymbalta or not, I couldn't tell you.

I haven't been able to take anything because they all make me sick. I think it has something to do with being exposed to a toxin for so long. Anyway I found this author who is an endocrinologist and she says that proper diet can get you back after your metabolism has been destroyed. I'm not sure if it will help in everyone but she says that depression is the result of poor nutrition. Check out her website www.schwarzbeinprinciple.com. I have all three of her books and can't wait for the forth to come out. It's amazing what marketing in this country makes us believe. One myth she dispells is that eating fat makes you fat. We all need undamaged fats in our diet. There are several videos on her website and she is very interesting to listen to. She was also had a serious medical condition when she was in high school and was able to come back with proper nutrition.
I hope you get what will work best for you soon. It feels like forever when you're in the midst of it.
Take Care,
Tammy
