I have a reading problem as well. Sometimes I have to read a sentence over and over again to comprehend it. Very annoying at times, because I am an avid reader. My eyes go everywhere! You're definitely not alone in this area. Have a great day!

if its what i have its called nystagmus. i was just complaining about how much it annoys me a couple days ago. your right it does make it very hard to read or watch tv and stuff like that. i went to my eye docover a yr ago and they told me i have it, i went back to the eye doc friday and they said its gotten worse but more so in the right eye. she refured me to neuro-ophthalmology for further testing. im still learning about it and its very hard to deal with for me cuz it makes me feel so dizzy. im sorry you are having to go through this too. im sorry i cant help our more. if you go to my post a few post back call NYSTAGMUS ---cant deal with it!!!...... you can read what people wrote to me about what meds they have tried or use to help them. http://www.lowvision.org/nystagmus.htm here is a link i found that was helpful for me in understanding it. hope it helps.

So far no visual issues like that. I do have the problem with English turning into mush thing though. I have a job which requires me to gather information from clients. I have had moments when they are telling me the information and I cannot understand them. I have asked them to spell names for me that I could not understand and felt like such a fool...the last one I remember was the name was Emma. Not all that hard! LOL...what can you do but laugh though.

Oh my gosh Meg, I have to reread things over so many times before I understand what is being said, and it amazes me that how differently I can interpet the same thing being said the more times I read it.

I use to love to read until last May when my vision went bad from ON and my difficulties comprehending things. I think I will take my daughter's advise and go to the library and get the books on tape. Even trying to use my hubby's Kendle doesn't help.

Mrswest, I do get very dizzy from reading the newspaper when this happens with my eyes but I actually can't feel them move or twitch, only the lids twitch alot at times.

Jennilee, the other day a woman that lives in our apt complex stopped me and wanted to know how my best friend was doing and I couldn't understand a thing she was saying, it just was all gibberish to me and I felt angry at myself because I felt I came across as being rude to her, but hubby said I did ok but acted very confused.

People I pass in the lobby always speak to me and ask how I'm doing and I appreciate the kindness but on the other hand when I go to answer sometimes it won't come out right away, so I wish they wouldn't ask. It kind of makes me avoid people, and that's not good either.
