I don't know if the depression or the illness came first for me; it doesn't really matter. i get help for my depression and am still seeking help for a dx and treatment of the diagnosis...
easy m... pets help so much! when my parents are looking away from me at the dinner table because my head is jerking and my right hand is shaking too much to get the food to my mouth; when i gasp in pain and mother pretends nothing is happening...
my cats cuddle up with me, they make me laugh, they stay close. they never flinch at my symptoms.
because of them and this site, i went to church yesterday despite my visible symptoms. i knew people would see me and wonder, but i figured they would get that i am ill... and i needed to be there.
animals give an unconditional love not to be duplicated.
even with this, i cry almost every night at the realization that i really am ill, that this will follow me for life, that i will not be "normal." i think this is a healthy part of the grieving process and i had to teach myself both to cry and that it is okay to cry.
you are in my thoughs...
cheers
I hope you have friends and family that are a good support to you. I am sure it is partly the winter blahs too. The other ladies here had good advice. I don't have anything more to add, but just wanted to give you a hug and hope that things improve for you.
