Hey everyone, just a quick question. or two. :)

i saw my neuro yesterday and received some good news. my last MRI results are in, and there have been no changes in my lesions in the last 7 months! good stuff!

he told me that deciding on medication is up to me. i'm not bad enough that he can insist i go on it, but basically said he would recommend i should.

it seems like a risk not to. i would hate for something to go wrong with myself, knowing that i could have started treatment early and maybe avoided some of the issues.

have any of you been in this situation? what did you do, and were you happy with your choice?

as it stands, he gave me a perscription for avonex (seemed like the best one for me) and told me to fill it if i want to. said to call his office so they can arrange for a nurse to come to my place to teach me what i need to do.

so, that's it.

oh, one more thing for you ladies out there. i forgot to ask yesterday, do you have to go off the meds when you are trying to get pregnant? not that i'm going to do this anytime soon, but i was just wondering.

I chose to start treatment asap. Although my symptoms are mild, I want to keep them that way. I'm on copaxone. I like the fact that you don't get those flu like symptoms. Anyway, it is a big decision and totally up to you. As with all the meds, everyone reacts differently to them. So unfortnetley there's no clear cut answer there. As with this condition nothing is easy. Good luck.

I was also in this situation, I chose to start the avonex. I have been on it since April. I don't have bad side effects with it at all. Once I got the flu like chills and sick the night that I took it and I usually have a mild headache all day the next day, nothing too bad. He gave me the choice of Avonex and Copaxone. I chose the Avonex because even though you have to inject it intermuscular, I liked that I only had to do it once a week. ITs not nearly has hard as I thought. I always said that I would NEVER be able to give myself a shot.

As a person who has never done steriods in my 25yr MS quest, I would suggest checking low dose naltrexone.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
