Sorry vent coming,
Thought it would get better when not going to work. WRONG or else I am fighting a flare up which I could be. Fatigue has increased dramatically & struggling to even have a shower & get dressed - that exhausts me & I struggle to put boot with brace on left leg & then the big boot on right leg. I am so exhausted when I come out for breakfast I sit down & have vitamins & juice before I can make my breakfast of cereal & cup of tea.
Then I am tired again & have to push through it to do what needs doing like phone calls etc.
On Saturday we went to a restaurant for tea to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary which is on 15th & decided to stay in a hotel near by & get a taxi there & back so we could both drink. Big mistake. Waited 1.5 hours for a taxi that didn't come, we were out the front in the cold waiting which is not good. Owner of the restaurant gave us a lift to the motel which was so kind of him. When we got wheelchair (folding) out we have left a footplate in it. GRRR so looks like a drive to Warrandyte which is about 1hour from here.
I was exhausted when we got back to our room & in the morning when we left they billed us (again) had already paid through hotel.com so not happy, rang hotel & they rang & sorted it out, then realised left bathroom bag in room so had to go back & get it (were only at hungry jacks having breakfast nearby when realised it.
Then went to springvale cemetery & got lost trying to find David's Mum grave so rang sister in law & she told us, we had 6th ave 7th st & it was other way around LOL. It was 1st time we all saw the gravestone as it had been done & it was almost 1yr anniversary of her death. Of course it rained while we were standing/sitting on walker & I had a coat on & umbrella over me (sharing with one of brothers. I was exhausted when we got home & it was only about 2
My walking is crap even with walker so sitting with feet up on recliner chair.
I have woken up feeling like razor blades in throat today & voice comes & goes. Think its because we were sitting outside a restaurant we had been to waiting for a taxi that didn't come. We hadn't driven so that we could both enjoy some champagne & a glass of spirits without worrying about blood level etc. Doesn't pay to be smart apparently. We were fortunate that one of the owners folded my wheelchair in the back & took us back to the motel we were staying at, not far away. That was so nice of him to do that. Unfortunately one of the foot plates fell out of the bag in his car so we are going to have to take a drive back there (1 hour each way) to retrieve it.
The restaurant is one of our favourites, it is buffet meal & show at night (main nights). We get a voucher on ebay & it is a lot cheaper.
Then when we left the motel they made us pay again (had booked through one of the discount sites & already paid) so that left us with a rotten taste in mouth. Had to phone hotel.com that we had booked through & get them to follow up on it & call us back. Then we realised we had left bathroom bag in the room (LOL) so went back to get it as were having breakfast at nearby hungry jacks. Talk about a rotten end to the night away.
Anyway then we went to David's Mum's grave for the unveiling of the headstone. It had finally been done & put in place with his Dad & sister's names in same headstone. It is a nice headstone with vases each side & in the middle. The others had taken lots of flowers (I knew they would) so they were all put in & more than filled it all. It was nice that all the family were there, direct brothers & sisters & partners. We all caught up together & talked, even though it was raining, would have been there about 1 hour.
We will all see each other next Saturday night at jenny's 60th & Jenny & Ray's 40th anniversary. It is at Kirstie's place (their daughter) & it is a split level house so I will have to use walker & expect to be in the pain the next day for sure. We will probably take the one that converts to a wheel chair so can use it as that when we can. Still trying to work out what to give them??? Any ideas? They are going to Europe & on a cruise soon after & said "you have done a lot of cruises & travel so something you think would be useful" That didn't help at all LOL. Other than a packet of the vaccum storage bags so fit more in when travelling LOL.
Not much planned this week other than hopefully physio Tuesday & Thursdaay. Will have to wait to see how I go.
Got a list of phone calls to make & made 2 today so that's a good start.
Watching dvd "Jesus Christ superstar", it is really good. Bought a 4 pack of Andrew Lloyd weber on sale, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar & Joseph & his amazing technicolor dream coat & another one. Got same for Mum for Mothers day so hope she likes it, couldn't think what to get her this time.
Take care of yourself,
Love Sue

At least next day you could say,,,,Ohhh what a night!!!! LOL
You do a lot, as hard as it is, you still doing it. That's an achivement. When I read the post I could feel your struggles, I'm between wc and walker, so I understand how hard everything seems and feels. Everything we do is a kick in the arse for ms.
Alma
your anniversary is something to celebrate and remember-- you did, and you will...
many hugs, connie
Look on the brightside - 10 years from now at your next milestone anniversary you will have a good laugh doing a "Remember when" of your 30th anniversary.
I hope you feel better soon. Rest up!
I phoned up today & the man who gave us a lift was "wondering what the thing on the back seat was". LOL Anyway we bought another voucher for Sunday lunch (ebay is half price) & going there sunday for lunch. Originally we were just going to go & pick it up but thought if we are driving 1 hour each way why not have lunch too, so got on the computer & organised it, rang back & said we have bought a voucher so would be there for lunch & to pick up foot plate.
Take 2 LOL
