Ok, I know we all have heat issues but does anyone have problems with nausea, vomiting & fainting when you get to hot. This has happened a few times. Last night I got overheated while eating. I suddenly felt sick & like I was going to faint. I started vomiting & nearly fainted. Once I cooled down I started to feel better. My Dr says I have to wear my cooling vest almost constantly, even in the office where I work. Any input would be great.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I've changed up my eating habits and basically done myself a world of good. No more gluten, lectin, legume, refined sugar, no alcohol (for the most part). It has helped so much.
Doctors normally don't take a look at things outside of pharma for symptom but there are some that practice "functional medicine" and do think outside the "med school box." Research has led me from one expert to the next so I'm pretty confident that my eating habits have saved me from a lot of MS stress.
Had you done a lot of preparing and running around the kitchen before you sat down to eat? Maybe resting a few minutes beforehand would be key? Hope you figure something out. I don't wear cooling vests but I do enjoy a very iced decaf coffee that helps me to stay cool. Of course, the A/C helps too.
Hope I've helped a bit. Hope you manage to keep cool. < smile >
